The story starts in Chicago, in the 1800’s. Chicago has been
selected to host the world fair, but the fair won’t only will be fun it will be
deadly. H.H.Holmes arrived for the fair, He stops by a local pharmacy, later
the owner will disappear and Holmes will convince his wife to sell him the
store. Later she will disappear. No one will
suspect a thing.
In the newspaper Holmes
posts that he needs an assistant, a young woman takes the job, Holmes convinces
her to marry him. While the city of Chicago is building the fairgrounds and the white city Holmes
has his own plans to build a hotel. Once he finished his hotel he managed to
get his wife into one of his specially designed rooms it’s a tiny room with no
vents or windows, in another room he designed he can turn on natural gases from
a secret room in his office. Sometimes he stops and listens to her fighting for
her life.
Further along the story
he meets another nice women and her sister nanny, He convinces the lady to marry
him but there’s one person in the way nanny, he has nanny working for him he
asks her to get him his documents from the vault while she steps inside it he
locks her in then turns the gas on in her sisters room leaving them both to
die.
His business is done in Chicago next he heads to Philadelphia,
where he will scam people of their money with a fake credit company. People
start noticing Holmes has made his first mistake he is sent to jail where he
makes peace with his guards. He likes to
write in jail him and his guards also exchange stories.
While in Chicago people are wondering how people go to the
fair and just disappear they expect Holmes had to do with the disappearing’s of
everyone. So the police search his hotel, they cannot believe what they find
they discover his secret autopsy room in the basement and hidden passages so he
can kill his guests. Holmes is proven guilty. Later he is sentenced to be
hanged just eight days before his thirty-eighth birthday.He will always remember the fair and the white city.
