Heinz

Heinz is a food processing company and they are most famous for their ketchup. The headquarters are in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. The company manufactures food products in 6 continents and more than 200 countries.

History

The founder of the company Henry John Heinz began to pack small foods in Sharpsburg, Pennsylvania, in 1869. It was there that he founded the Heinz Noble & Company with his friend L. Clarence Noble they began to make horseradish. The product was a recipe's of Anna Heinz they began making the product in Henry Heinz's fathers former home in the basement. Sadly in the year of 1875 the company went bankrupt but the following year Henry Heinz found the F & J Heinz company with his brother John Heinz and a cousin Fredrick Heinz. Interesting enough one of the company's first products was tomato ketchup. The company after that continued to grow and in 1888 Mr.Heinz bought out his two partners and reorganized the company as the H. J. Heinz company.  The slogan "57 varieties" was introduced by Heinz in 1896. The slogan was inspired by a advertisement he saw while riding a elevated train in New York. He picked the number because he liked the sound of it (not the brightest idea but kind of funny) he picked the number 7 specifically cause it appealed to people of that age. In the the year of 1905 the Heinz company was incorporated and Henry Heinz took the duty of being the first president of the company. He stayed the company's president for the rest of his life.

Interesting Facts

In the year of 1915 Heinz Salad Cream was invented in England

In 1930, Howard Heinz, son of Henry Heinz, helped to fight the Great Depression by selling ready-to-serve "quality" soups and baby food.

In 1966 Henry John Heinz II resigned as president and CEO of the company. He soon became its managing director and in 1971 he moved to Pittsburgh.

On May 14,1919 Henry Heinz died.

Me and my family actually saw the Heinz Company factory in Pits burgh a couple years ago. It was a huge building and it looked really cool.

Stan Lee + Marvel Comics Superhereos

Stan Lee was born on December 28, 1922 as Stanley Martin Lieber. He was born in New York City his parents were Romanian-born Jewish immigrants. He was born at the corner of West 98th Street and West End Avenue in Manhattan. His father practiced his profession as a dress cutter but worked sporadically (an adjective that you can use to refer to something that happens or appears often, but not constantly or regularly.) after the Great Depression. Because of this they moved more uptown then they had been. When Stan Lee was only nine his brother Larry Lieber was born. He attended DeWitt Clinton High School in the Bronx. He wanted to write books and such items in his youth.

Early Career

He was hired as an assistant in 1939 to Timely Comics this was a division of Pulp magazine. In the 1960's Timely Comics would evolve into Marvel Comics. But because he was an assistant he didn't do any writing. He said he used to help out around the office. He made his comic-book debut with the text filler "Captain America Foils the Traitor's Revenge".

His Superheroes And Villains

Captain America

Captain America was from the war era and he had something done to him that made his muscular and really strong. He went to defeat the Germans put he wrecked and he got frozen in his ship. He wakes up 70 years later and he fights crimes with a giant shield that represents America. His rival aka his villain is Red Skull.

Thor

Thor is the god of thunder and he was chosen to be a god because it was either him or his brother. His brothers name is Loki and he is his enemy. I can't remember what happened in the movie so yep that's all I am  gonna put for Thor.

The Hulk

The Hulk is a big green dude but he only turns big and green if hes angry. I think he was a scientist from what I hear I've never watched a Hulk movie so i don't know his enemy. His enemy would probably abomination or something.

Spider man

Spider-man is a boy named Peter Parker who worked for Oscorp and got bitten by a radioactive spider. His enemy is The Lizard who is basically a giant lizard. He is not apart of the Avengers though but I though I would include him cause I would feel ad if I didn't.

Iron Man

Iron Man is Tony Stark a billionaire who lives off of something placed where his heart should be. He made an iron suit and fights crime one of his enemies was Obadiah Stane. And he really doesn't have anything super about him except for his suit. He is probably one of the most powerful superheroes in the Marvel Universe.

Hawkeye

I don't know Hawkeyes story or his rival but he carries a bow and arrow around and shoots things.

Black Widow

Don't know her story or rival either shes just a really cool chick that has some awesome fighting skills.

If I Owned A Business...

I have been asked a question and that question is What type of business would i own? I have thought long and hard and i do mean long and hard about this. And let me just tell you thinking can exhaust you. I have also been asked to give my Mission Statement for the company. So here you all go here is If I Owned A Business.

If I owned a business it would be a pet supplies store. Not only would I sell pet supplies but I would also sell animals. I would sell basically everything from litter to flea repellent. And I would have reasonable prices I cant give any examples cause well because I don't usually look at the prices cause I don't shop for pet supplies.

My Mission Statement would be to give the best products for pets so that you can have a healthy relationship with them! Yeah I know mainstream but eh it is what I came up with. And plus I am not that experienced in the business world. I say that as I am a girl who took a business class last year.

Also I would take 15% of my monthly earnings and donate it to a organization which would help homeless and abused animals. I would do this because well animals deserve to be happy and it would kill me to know that I who would run a pet supplies store wouldn't be helping. And I would also be a non-kill store which basically means if an animal stays in the store for a long time I will not kill it. I don't know who could do that to an animal though that's just to emotionally harsh on yourself unless you hate animals.

Now for a name and this was probably the hardest thing to decide mostly because a lot of names for pet supplies stores are already taken. The name of my pet supplies shop would be Animals And Pet Stuff. I know that is really awful for a shop name. At least it is kind of funny at my awful effort to find a name.

If I Won The Lottery...

If I won the lottery the first thing I would probably do is faint because of how shocked I would be. Seriously I would probably die of shock and then the whole lottery winning would be pointless. But all of that aside here is a few things that I would do if I somehow ever won the lottery. And don't question my choices it would be my money to spend and not yours, if you find something I would do with it unreasonable or pointless keep it to yourself or go away. And  if you have any ideas of what you would do with your winnings let me know them don in the comment section below they would be interesting to read. The value I will be using will be 238 million dollars. I know that sounds like too much but it is not real so it kind f doesn't matter.

Okay so I guess the first thing I would do is donate 3 million to the cancer research foundation. I would do this mainly because I feel like it would help advance research and treatment to help fight the awful disease. Also I would donate the same amount to some other organizations to help medical research and also helping the needy and animals. And see the first thing I would do would not be selfish or for my family I would help others with their needs by donating a decent amount of my winnings to great organizations.

The second thing I would do is get some things that I wanted but lets be honest who wouldn't? I would get a PS4, a tiger (I like cats and I would have this one trained to not eat my face), and to be honest I cannot really think of anything else I want right now except for a go-kart. And that wouldn't even probably make a dent in my pocket cause the value of these items would be a couple thousand dollars.

I would also give 5k dollars to each of my parents so they could do whatever they desired to with the money. I would give 4k to my sister not because I don't like her as much she just isn't my parent. I don't think that I would give any to my friends mostly because friends change on you and I never would know if they would just be using me to get the money.

I would also travel to world to some places I have always wanted to visit France, Egypt, London, Rome, Greece, Sweden and a bunch of other places but I feel like I should stop after those. After all that would be a huge list that would add up to a lot. And don't let me forget about the souvenirs I would have no more room in my room to walk so you know but it would be totally worth it.

This sounds really silly but I would go to a Disney park and this is just because they are really expensive. Like seriously I don't get why Kings Dominion is so much cheaper they are both amusement parks. Kings Dominion might even be better cause Disney would be packed.

So I guess I would still have a huge chunk of money left and I cannot think of anything else I would do with the money. So to finish this blog I am going to say that I would just put it into a savings account for the future. This would also save me from buying useless items and wasting all of my winnings.

The Shockwave

The Shockwave is one of the many roller coasters at Kings Dominion. What makes the ride stand out most is the fact that instead of sitting and riding the attraction you're strapped in standing up. The Shockwave is a green roller coaster located in Candy Apple Grove. The length of this attraction is 2,231 feet (really why cant thy just add nine more feet and make it an even 2,240?). This attraction goes a top speed of 50 miles per hour and that is pretty fast when you think about it.

The coaster was built and designed by a company called TOGO. This company is Japanese and it was one of the first stand up roller coasters designed by this company. But because the the closings of the previous two stand up roller coasters it has become known as the oldest stand up roller coaster in operation. The Shockwave now stands where the Galaxie roller coaster, a small steel coaster of the S.D.C. Galaxie model used to sit. But the Galaxie roller coaster closed because of a very fatal injury to a thirteen year old boy and it was shown as an example of unsafe park attractions. The Galaxie was sold to somewhere in Myrtle beach still known as the Galaxie but that was only until 1997. The Shockwave opened up where it sat in 1986. It is known for not having a level loading station so I guess that means that it is slanted someway more than the other. But this does help with the launch instead of relying on gravity which let's be real isn't always that helpful.

The ride has over 22 million riders and after nearly three decades it will sadly be closing. But to be honest it wasn't that great of a ride it could beat you up badly. The coaster will permanently close on August 9, 2015 and it is actually really sad cause it has such a cool history. I first road the Shockwave on my Birthday well technically weekend celebration with one of my parents and I kind of hated it. The ride has many flaws but does that make it a awful ride, no it doesn't. The coaster has one big loop and let me just tell you when you're standing up and are upside down you kind of imagine yourself plummeting down into your final moments.

They are mainly doing this to keep park goers interested and to also add more to Candy Apple Grove. But there ha been quite a few incidents on this ride that has lead up to its closing. On the evening of August 23, 1999, a 20-year-old man was thrown from the train's final turn at speeds of 40 miles per hour causing him to get a fatal head injury upon contact with a steel walkway.

My mother and I have vowed to even though we never really liked it ride it again. I really do hope we get something really good to replace it though or I will be very upset. I just don't want to think of the day The Grizzly or another one of their rides close.
