A letter from1800 to a friend

 Dear Joseph,

I just wanted to see how you were doing after the war and to tell you George Washington got elected president. I wish you lived here in north America if you did you would not have so many taxes and no war.  After the war ended it’s been so peaceful George Washington is doing a good job supporting our country. I wish I could say it’s easy not to think about all the new things that are changing. S o how are things in Europe? I bet it isn’t you are thinking how the time will go by in the future and what war is next. Here it’s cold and rainy how is it over there?  I wonder if this horrible fate will ever end any ways it is getting close to the end for all of us. Well when you get this another war will probably start but I don’t know if one will ever which is a good thing. I hope we get to see each other in the near future if not I wish you peace on earth and good will. Tell your friends hi from me hope to hear from you soon bye Joseph.

 Sincerely, Andrea.

Daniel Boone, and 2 Different Topics

Daniel Boone was born c. November 2, 1734 in Berks County, Pennsylvania. He was as a wandering hunter and trapper who was one of the earliest white explorers in Kentucky and worked to establish it as a 14th colony.  He was as a wandering hunter and trapper who was one of the earliest white explorers in Kentucky. Boone became a legendary hero even his death in 1820. He died September 26, 1820. Boone had little formal schooling but learned to read and write.

The bald eagle is our national bird, is the only eagle unique to North America. The bald eagle's scientific name signifies a sea eagle with a white head. At one time, the word "bald" meant "white," not hairless. Bald eagles are found throughout most of North America, from Alaska and Canada to northern Mexico. About half of the world's 70,000 bald eagles live in Alaska. Combined with British Columbia's population of about 20,000, the northwest coast of North America is by far their greatest stronghold for bald eagles. They flourish here in part because of the salmon. Dead or dying fish are an important food source for all bald eagles.

In this paragraph I will write about the life cycle of a butterfly. First the mother butterfly lays its eggs on a leaf. As time goes by the egg begins to grow then it breaks and the little caterpillar climbs out. The caterpillar eats and eats and eats soon it begins to shed its skin and then it makes its pupa. After 6 or 4 weeks the pupa breaks then the butterfly is born. Then the butterfly repeats its cycle by laying its eggs.

Christmas Vaction, Dulcimer, Fossils.

On Christmas vacation I did lots of fun things. I went to a light show, I got to see some of my friends, and a lot of other fun things. On Christmas day we opened  presents. I got a 3ds, a 3ds starter kit, some 3ds games, clue the game, 3 webkinz, puzzles, a little reindeer, a volcano kit, a weaving kit, a friend ship bracelet kit, a Barbie, and the last Harry Potter movie on blue ray. I like all the stuff I got for Christmas, I hope next year I think ill get a lot of good presents.

Long ago they didn’t have guitar’s they had the dulcimer! A dulcimer is a stringed musical instrument. It is a wooden box with strings stretched over it that are struck with small mallets. The number of strings may vary. The dulcimer is related to the psaltery and modern zither. It originated in the Middle East and was adopted in Europe in the middle Ages.

Fossils are what’s left of plants and animals that were alive a long time ago. When the plant or animal died, part of it was left on the earth. That part became trapped in the sediments, and the sediments became rock. Once the rock formed, the fossil was trapped inside. Some fossils are destroyed because sediments undergo a lot of heat and pressure when they become rocks, and the heat and pressure might destroy the fossils. Most fossils are found in sedimentary rocks. There are two different types of fossils vertebrate and invertebrate.

A Speach About George Washington.

He was a role model for each of our presidents who am I talking about, George Washington. He was the first leader of our nation without him who would know what our country would be like. Here are some reasons Washington was a great leader great leadership, kindness, responsibility, and there are many more reasons. We honor him with President’s Day. We honored him allowing him to choose where our capital was built.  Many artifacts are named after Washington, including the Washington Monument, the state of Washington, and many roads and cities. He is a model for his amazing leadership. He lived in this very state, Virginia. He lived from 1732-1799 and he died when he was only 67. He had a Cabinet and he was thankful for the chance to rule our nation. He did so much for us. George Washington was allowed to be President for as long as he liked.  He chose two four-year terms when he decided to go back to his farm. Two years later he died. We still remember Washington as one of our greatest leaders. If he was alive today he would probably say thank you for keeping his history alive. He was and always will be our first leader.
This is George Washington.
