Facts about Football, Hubble Space Telescope, And Richmond Virginia.

The Hubble Space Telescope is a space telescope that was carried into orbit by a space shuttle in 1990 and remains in operation. Hubble's orbit outside the distortion of Earth's atmosphere allows it to take extremely sharp images with no back round light. Hubble's ultra deep field  image, for instance, is the most detailed visible-light image ever made of the universe's most distant objects. Many Hubble observations have led to breakthroughs in astrophysics, such as accurately determining the rate of expansion of the universe. Although not the first space telescope, Hubble is one of the largest and most versatile, and is well known as both a vital research tool and a public relations boon for astronomy. Space telescopes were proposed as early as 1923. Between 1993 and 2002, four missions repaired, upgraded, and replaced systems on the telescope, but a fifth mission was canceled on safety grounds following the Columbia disaster.

Richmond is the capital of the Commonwealth of Virginia, in the United States. The population within the city limits was 204,214 in 2010, with an estimated population of 1,258,251 for the Richmond Metropolitan Area— making it the third largest in Virginia. Geographically, Richmond is located at the fall line of the James River, 108 miles (174 km) south of Washinton DC, 71 miles (114 km) east of Charlottesville VA, and 54 miles (87 km) west of Williamsburg VA. The site of Richmond, at the fall line of the James River, had been an important village of the Powhatan Confederacy, and was briefly settled by English colonists from Jamestown  in 1609, and in 1610–11. The present city of Richmond was founded in 1737.

Football may refer to one of a number of team sports which all involve, to varying degrees, kicking a ball with the foot to score a goal. The most popular of these sports worldwide is associated football, more commonly known as just "football" or "soccer". Unqualified, the word football applies to whichever form of football is the most popular in the regional context in which the word appears, including American football,Australian rules football, Canadian football, Gaelic football, rugby league, rugby union and other related games. These variations of football are known as football "codes". Two teams of usually between 11 and 18 players; some variations that have fewer players (five or more per team) are also popular. The Ancient Greeks and Romans  are known to have played many ball games, some of which involved the use of the feet.
