Killings Genene
Jones was convicted in 1984 of killing an infant and suspected of murdering
dozens more will be released from prison without completing her 99 year
sentence because of an expired Texas law that grants a "mandatory
release" to inmates with good behavior. (2)
She had worked as a pediatric nurse. In 1882 Genene was
giving shots to Chelsea McClellan her mother was extremely upset because
emidetley Chelsea was having trouble breathing and couldn’t say her mother’s
name Chelsea was fifteen months old at the time. Jones injected Chelsea with a
lethal dose of the muscle relaxant succinylcholine while Chelsea was in her
mother’s own arms. Chelsea shortly died after these injections and jones was
held responsible. She was also convicted in hurting another child in an attack
which the child had survived. She was sentenced to sixty years or so in prison.
but it was ordered to be served concurrently with the 99 year sentence. (1)
Biograhy Genene
Jones was born on July 13, 1950, in San Antonio, Texas, and given up for
adoption. Jones worked as a beautician before going into nursing in 1977. She
worked at several hospitals in the San Antonio, Texas, area before transferring
to a medical clinic in the early 1980s. It is believed that while working at
Bexar County Medical Center Hospital, Genene Jones killed between 11 and 46
infants and children who were in her care by injecting them with heparin and succinylcholine.
The exact number of murders remains unknown because after the first conviction,
hospital officials destroyed records of her activities to prevent further
litigation and public outrage. (3)
What I Think This
chick is really sick, how can she think of murdering little babies. And she
should not be released from prison would you want her to be released if she
killed a lot of children and one of them were yours? I mean I get that she has
been in prison for almost thirty or so years but she should stay in. I would
hate to be the mother of Chelsea especially because it happened to her mother
right in front of her and she had no idea. Luckily she is not working for the hospital
place anymore but they shouldn’t have let this go on I mean I would notice if
all these little kids were dying and they all had the same doctor it is not
hard to put those pieces together. I hope her parole hearing in 2017 decides
that hey this chick killed a lot of people she should not be allowed to
possibly get out of jail and do it again. Because I think if she gets out in
2017 she will either kill little kids again or at least upgrade to adults and I
do not want that happening and I had no idea this was happening in Texas. I
used to live there! I hope she has realized what she has done and how much heartbreak
she has caused the family’s that have lost there children.
