Genet’s, Sentences, Football Actions, And James Lafayette.

Genets’ are feliforms, somewhat related to cats. Most of them have spotted coats and long, banded tails, small heads, and large ears. Like civets, genets have strong musk glands, which are used for territorial, sexual and social purposes. They are known to perform handstands when doing this. Genets are highly agile creatures, with quick reflexes and exceptional climbing skills, and are the only Viverrids that stand bipdally.

James Lafayette was a spy for America. He would act like he was a Britain soldier and spy on them and take notes to figure out where they would go so American’s could stop them. He had to go to the government to get his freedom. After he got his freedom he worked as a farmer in Virginia on his farm. James Lafayette did wonderful things for our country. And I bet he still would if he was alive today.

Here are some sentences that contain similes, metaphors, and idioms. The cat was as fast as an airplane. Jackson’s smile is as white as a cloud. I said my cat is a (cheetah) when she runs. Aly was mad when I said she is a smurf in blue paint. Why is he so tall? Is he a giant?

Here are some things footballs players do in a game. A sack is: Any tackle of the quarterback behind the line of scrimmage. A fumble is: When any offensive player loses possession of the football before a play is blown dead.  A touchdown is: A scoring play in which any part of the ball, while legally in the possession of a player who is in-bounds, crosses the plane of the opponent’s goal line. A buttonhook is: A pass route in which the reviver heads downfield, then quickly turns back towards the line of scrimmage. A gridiron is: The football field.

This is a picture of a Genet isn't it cute.

  1. Andrea,

Very good blog entry....Just a few points to mention.

    1. You did not write two sentences with idioms.
    2. We need to work more on capitalization.
    3. You misspelled receiver in your paragraph about football.

Otherwise you did a great job.

Your word count is 308 words.
    Your score is 22/25
I took off 1 pt for each of the things that I mentioned.
